Hummingbirds make my day.  They are unique creatures.  In Lake Lure we have them from early April until late October.  I saw my first one today which is a late sighting this year. 

I think hummingbirds really like the mountains in Lake Lure.  We get multiple ones on our feeders all the time.  It's amazing to see their interactions with each other. They chase one another and they let us know if the feeders are empty.
