When will spring get to Lake Lure, NC?  I thought it was finally here on Valentine's day when I was able to cut some daffodils to bring into the house.  We also sat on our deck enjoying the 70 degree weather.  People even took their boats on the lake for an afternoon spin.

So I got excited and decided I could buy some plants to get my pots ready for spring.  Big Mistake!!  Mother nature decided it was not time yet and after one day of great weather in Lake Lure reality set back in.  My plants will remain in their original containers for a little longer as I wait for spring to finally arrive. 

I'd much rather wait for spring in Lake Lure then contend with the weather up North.  I can still look at the beautiful mountains, see deer in our backyard and smell the fresh air.  At least I do not have to look at snow on the ground like my son in Michigan is doing.
